Converge is a metaphor AND a group of people.

It is a metaphor in the sense the word "converge" is an attempt to visualize how God calls and directs a person. Just as several streams flow together to form a rushing river so too God uses various elements to guide, prepare, and equip a person for ministry globally. We believe that as God begins to nudge people about the possibility that He is calling them to serve outside of Canada He will use a number of means to do so. In Global Ministries we desire to journey alongside of people as they explore what these nudges imply for their life and future. We want to help with discernment.

'"Converge" is also the name we give to a network of people with the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Canada who help people with the discernment process. It is also the official department of Global Ministries that deals with Missionary/International Worker Candidate and Recruitment.
