The Journey
The process of inquiring and then serving with Global Ministries is similiar to a journey. There are various steps or stages for the journey. The graphic below provides a "map" for this journey. A brief description is given for each stage.
There are also sides to this journey. The one side is your own process of discerning God's will and receiving confirmation to his direction in your life. The other side is the formal application process. There will be various stages that you will walk through.
EXPLORER/INQUIRER
At this point you are not exactly sure what God would have you do. Information and conversation is important at this stage to help you discern God’s direction.
Applicant
At this point you are interested in pursuing more information and would like to talk to various leaders about Global ministry opportunities. During this stage we will get to know you more and you will get to know some of the ministries around the world.
Candidate
At this point both you and us share a desire for you to move forward in the process of becoming an international ministry with Global Ministries. You will begin a series of evaluations to see your readiness for serving Globally.
Appointee
Upon the successful completion of the pre-appointment interview the CONVERGE directors will present your application to the President’s Cabinet. If the cabinet approves, appointment is recommended to the Board of Directors of the C&MA of Canada for final approval.
International Worker Deployed Globally
The Vice President will call the candidate following the Board of Directors meeting and share the results of the meeting. After the candidate formally accepts the appointment in writing the candidate becomes an official GM international worker.
