OVERVIEW

The Desert Sand region is in need of a Physiotherapist to join their team to work in a local non-profit clinic located in North Africa.  The individual will work alongside the national Physiotherapist and the team, treating and making a difference in the lives of mainly Arabic and French speaking patients.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• 4-5 mornings a week at a family practice clinic, you will work as part of a team on the physical therapy side.  Primary task is outpatient consultations/ treatments with an emphasis on post-stroke care and correction of congenital defects in children. You will provide care to the patient population in a manner that is consistent with your level of proficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Current licensing in Physiotherapy
• At least 1 year of experience in in-patient or out-patient care
• A working knowledge of French and Arabic will be required, including medical vocabulary (Language study provided for funded positions)

WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT

• There are approximately 20 trained physiotherapists serving the entire country, so your role will work in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team, under the supervision of the clinic owner.  You will not only make an indelible impact, but will benefit a marginalized portion of the population in North Africa.  This is an opportunity for those who desire to contribute the whole of their lives and work, seeking to bring Christ’s Presence into these areas of the world.
