OVERVIEW

The Desert Sand region is in need of a Family Physician or Endocrinologist/ Internist to join their team to work in a local non-profit hospital clinic located in North Africa.  The individual will work alongside a small team of healthcare professionals treating and making a difference in the lives of mainly Arabic and French speaking patients.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• The Doctor will work 4-5 mornings a week providing outpatient consultations with an emphasis on diabetic education and treatment follow-up.  No emergency calls, inpatient hospital care, obstetrics nor night calls

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Current licensed in MD in good standing
• At least 1 year of experience in in-patient or out-patient care
• A working knowledge of French and Arabic will be required (Language study provided for funded positions)

WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT

• Your role will work in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team, under the supervision of the clinic owner.  You will not only make an indelible impact, but will benefit a marginalized portion of the population in North Africa.  This is an opportunity for those who desire to contribute the whole of their lives and work, seeking to bring Christ’s presence into these areas of the world.
