OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations while supporting key business goals and projects. A major role will be developing procedures and the people to administer them.  Minimum 2 year commitment required.

Lao is the Laotian market leader for high quality coffee, fresh fast food and bakery giving a taste of home for tourists and foreign workers living abroad.  Joma has an integrated business model that covers the whole value chain: from the bakeries to the cafés to provide the highest quality in each key process.  Joma is a social enterprise which generates long term employment for severely disadvantaged women who would otherwise be considered unemployable and where both enterprise and employees reach successful development paths. The Shareholders aim to replicate across the Region the successfulJOMA’s model of a profitable company with a true social mission. The initial geographical scope of development includes Lao and Vietnam.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Administration

  • Human Resources
    • Oversee human resources staff support services i.e. recruitment, salary, payroll, overtime, holidays, sick leave, time off
  • Communications & Information Systems
    • Manage internal communications protocols
    • Coordinate information management and storage
  • Systems Development
    • Keep key data updated i.e. contact lists, databases, licenses
    • Procedures developed and documented in all areas of work

Cafés

  • Café Manager support and leadership
  • Provide solutions to non-routine issues

Finance

  • Financial Controls Systems strictly monitored
  • Supervise accounting support i.e. banking and bills transfers, onsite bills paying, invoice & collection, petty cash

Production

  • Production Manager support and leadership
  • Optimize ordering & billing systems for café & wholesale
  • Support inventory & Purchasing agent

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Professional qualifications or retail or managerial experience
  • Management, leadership and organizational skills
  • Good computer skills.
  • Being self motivated, creative, honest and reliable.
  • Fluency in English (if English is second language)
