Bob was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta into a strong Christian family. He gave his life to the Lord Jesus as a teenager and went to Bible College where he sensed God calling him into ministry. After graduating, he began ministry at Tsawwassen Alliance Church in 1985 and married Karin in 1986. He was ordained in 1987 and the couple had their first child in 1988. God blessed Bob and Karin with 2 more children while serving in Kelowna.

Karin at the age of 13 was invited to a Bible camp where she heard the truth of the gospel for the first time. She accepted Christ while she was there. After high school, Karin attended Bible College in order to be grounded more firmly in her faith. God used those years to teach, refine and mature Karin. She also met Bob while in school together, and was excited to join him in pastoral ministry.

Over 23 years of ministry, the family has ministered in 6 different churches from BC and Alberta to Ontario.

Bob and Karin now serve at Penang International Church in Malaysia as international workers in Church Ministry.
