The Word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood...
John's Gospel, 1:14 The Message
I grew up in a Christian home but never really decided to have a personal relationship with Christ until I was 15 years old. There were definitely some ups and downs along the way when I was a teenager and trying to make my faith my own.
It wasn’t until I went away to university that I discovered that I wanted to live out God's will in everything I did. At that time, I got involved with a church that really distorted the truth of God and if it weren't for God bringing the right people into my life at that time, I honestly believe I would still be with that church. That made me realize how much I don't know God's word and it convicted me from then on that I needed to be a better student of Him.
It was there that I got involved with Power to Change (formerly Campus for Christ) on-campus and discovered what it meant to evangelize and be a disciple of Him. Since that point, I have been very passionate about His kingdom work and how important it is to be obedient to His authority/will in my life. I can honestly say God is my first love and I desire nothing more than to glorify Him.
